Long term conditions – Expert Patients Programme
The Expert Patients Programme is a free course for people living with long-term health conditions. It aims to help you to improve your health and wellbeing and better manage your long-term condition through learning skills and techniques that you can use in your day-to-day life.

Healthy lifestyles
Weight management
For adult men and women
Vouchers for up to 12 weeks of classes at a local Slimming World or Weight Watchers group. For adults who have a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 30kg/m2 or over (27.5 or over for people from a BAME background) and who have not self funded membership at a commercial weight management scheme in the last 6 months. Pregnancy exclusion applies.
For new mums
Free 12 week programme for post natal mums (up to 24 months), including energy boosting workouts and great nutritional tips.
For toddlers and their families
Free 12-week, fun and friendly activity programme for children aged 2-5 years and their families, including fruit and veg chopping & tasting and nutritional based workshop for parents.
For men
The Guys Get Active programme is a free 10-week community healthy lifestyle programme designed for men. It includes one to one nutrition consultations to discuss individual diets and behaviours around food, and weekly exercise classes – such as strength and football sessions – as well as an online exercise class.

Stop smoking
Wandsworth council stop smoking service offers free help, support, advice and access to stop smoking medications, including NRT. This is a free service for smokers who live, work or are registered with a GP based in the London Borough of Wandsworth.
Exercise on referral
Exercise on referral offers support and advice for people who have a health condition that could be treated by exercise. The programme is delivered in seven local leisure and sport centres across Wandsworth borough.
A specially trained exercise instructor will meet with you and discuss your condition, they will develop a programme for you lasting up to 12 weeks that will increase your confidence in the gym and fitness, and help with any specific medical issues or conditions.
Talk to your GP to discuss whether this course would be suitable for you. Only your GP can refer you to this service.

Active lifestyles
Active Lifestyles is a programme of low cost adult physical activity classes and sessions. Activities take place in community venues across Wandsworth borough, and your first class is always free.
The activities are for people who want to become more active, and include Tai Chi, Zumba, pilates, swimming lessons, 50+ keep fit classes, and kickboxing.

Walk4Life
Walk4Life is Wandsworth’s Healthy Walk’s programme. These free walks take place weekly across the borough and are led by volunteers. Just pop along and join us for a short walk, followed by a cup of tea!
